Aayana (Yaya) Nedd is a DMV native hailing from Woodbridge, VA. During her formative years, she played at Woodbridge Senior High School. She went on to play for Mary Baldwin University where she helped lead her team to their first conference tournament berth in school history. Nedd placed top 5 in two categories for the USA South Conference. Yaya then took her talents overseas to play for the WNBL Bristol Flyers gaining professional experience abroad. Bringing her collegiate career to a close, she ended her NCAA tenure at the Florida Institute of Technology while pursuing her Master's degree.
Yaya gives back to the game now by both coaching and teaching the game of basketball to the younger generation. She has led multiple teams to successful AAU seasons and has recently rounded out her first year of coaching on the high school scale.
