DC CYCLONES CROWNED 2023 CHAMPIONS

Greensboro, NC - The DC Cyclones are again the WABA Champions, defeating the Raleigh Red Storm in the finals 64-62.  The 2023 finals was one of the most competitive finals in league history to date.  The game featured the Finals MVP Keyana Tate for the Cyclones who finished with a team hgh 19pts, 10rbds & 3asts to finish with a double-double.  For Raleigh, retired WNBA and Overseas player Erlana Larkins controlled the boards with a record 20rbds in defeat.

 

The Cyclones have now won 2 titles, with the 1st in 2019. This marks the 1st finals appearalnce since they first appearend in 2019.  Cyclones Owner William Flowers welcomed in current Head Coach, and the 2023 Coach of the Year, Wes Graves in 2021,  This is Graves 1st title with DC, and looks foward to the opportunity to repeat.
