Capital Heights, MD - Vicki Collier is a native of Upper Marlboro, Maryland. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the league as a player and coach. She has earned numerous awards over the life of her athletic career from high school up to her professional basketball career. The 2004 & 2005 Maryland State High Jump & Triple Jump Champion, 2005 Prince Georges County, Maryland Player of the Year, Three-time CAA Conference Champion at Old Dominion University, 2006 – 09, later transferred to Virginia Union University and helped her mom, Barvenia Wooten win the 2012 CIAA Northern Division Championship, made ALL-CIAA team and lead the State of Virginia’s All-Star Team that same year. From 2012-15, Vicki joined the coaching staff as an assistant coach under the leadership of her mother, Coach Wooten.
Her playing career includes over six years of professional basketball with such teams as Lady Warriors of the WABA, Military Teams, including overseas in China. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from ODU and a master’s degree in Sports Management, from West Virginia University. Despite her three significant knee injuries experienced during her collegiate career at ODU she has continued to defy the odds. She continued to play because of her love and passion for the game.
At the beginning of the Roadrunner’s season in 2021, Vicki had to stop playing due to her pregnancy. She would then assume the duties as General Manager of the Roadrunners. Several Months later in December 2021 she gave birth to her beautiful baby girl, Harmony Michelle Wallace and rejoined the team five months later resuming her team captain status. Her return to the Roadrunners was very impactful. She brought a wealth of experience and leadership that contributed to the success of our team. She currently is an IT Specialist and resides in Capitol Heights with her beautiful daughter, Harmony”
